My Father's Bigger than Yours

Late yesterday afternoon

In the sandbox back in the yard

I heard my son's angry words
 to his friend,

They sounded unusually hard

"My Father's Bigger than Yours,

My Father's stronger than Yours

My Father Loves us more than
 anyone can

My Father's bigger than yours"

I sat him down by my side, in the

Shade in the late of the day

I told him that I thought his

Words were unkind

Said that it wasn't God's way

Those words could only be true

Of our Father in Heaven above

And I sent him back to play
 with his friends

Reminding him of my love

But I thought to myself:

"My Father's Bigger than Yours,

My Father's stronger than Yours

My Father Loves us more than
anyone can

My Father's bigger than yours"

A year or more after the day

 child supposed to be born

A baby sister for a waiting son

A child that didn't come home

The days became endless to bear

Each moment made out of lead

One day my little boy climbed
 in our laps

These were the words that he said,

"Since our baby didn't come home

Everyday you both have been sad

Mommy don't cry, You still have me

My baby's gone home to her Dad.

"Her Father's bigger than yours

Her Father's stronger than yours

Her Father loves her more
than anyone can

Her Father's bigger than yours

Our Father who art in Heaven

Hallowed be thy name

Thy Kingdom Come,

Thy will be done

My Father's Bigger than yours.

In His Loving Arms

Was a bright and shining morning

Just before an hour of storming

Skies grew gray

A baby born in

Just the time to say

Goodbye

IN HER ARMS

A baby sleeping

In her eyes

A mother's weeping

In her heart

A voice was crying

Stay forever in my arms

Little one

Two hearts were broken

Not a single word

was spoken

Small red rose

The only token

Taken from her loving arms

When we're in our ever after

I look forward to the laughter

Of a small one

Held in rapture

Safe forever in

His Arms.

Though the cradle now

Is empty

Grief an ever-present sentry

Still I know

You are smiling

Cradled in His Loving Arms

Chorus

The Smallest Lullaby

I know a child is just a promise

Know that God can take or give

Takes more than all of our learning

What it really means to live

Still when dawn gives
way to evening

And the shadows fall nearby

To a child of several moments

Goes the Smallest Lullaby

Chorus

Listen baby

To your mother

God is near

In Heaven High

Just a song to say I love you

Just the smallest lullaby.

My days without smallest wonders

I will have to walk alone

I take comfort in a memory

And the hope that you are home

If from heaven you can see

Tears as gifts for you, I cry

I will walk a little farther

In the smallest lullaby

Chorus:

Sing and Pray and stay till morning

I'll reach Heaven by and by

But for now, my heart will heal

In the smallest lullaby.
